For the exhibition Where the Gaze Gets Touched at the Saffca Foundation gallery in La Cambre, I seek to create a dialogue between works made twenty-five years ago and recent pieces. The quests that persist over the years are those of language and silence, of the relationship between the intimate and the echoes of the world that materialize in the studio.

Didier Escole wrote: “It was on the threshold of a war, inviting the gaze to confront unrepresentable, that Natalia Blanch, in a way of conjuration, chose to enter into resistance and, to do so, set out in search of new ‘sensitive dwellings’, capable of welcoming forms of representation of which she still knew nothing, without yielding anything on what was then only a premonition.“
