L'artiste portatif

Group exhibition curated by Daniela Franco
Performance on 6 March 2003
Institut culturel du Mexique, Paris, France

h (de hombre, de silla), digital video 4'37'', 2003

The exhibition L'artiste portatif (The Portable Artist) was curated by Daniela Franco. The title and part of the developed concepts of the show were inspired from the book A Brief history of Portable Literature by Enrique Vila-Matas.

The piece is a video, its sound, sound track by Andrés Oddone, and a poem by Guillermo Daghero. The video shows a man talking to himself at a coffee table. The poem is a possible man's monologue. Both poem and sound were created from the images of the video.

« h (de hombre, de silla)

el otro no duerme
el otro es un pájaro

1 = habla
1 = caja de resonancia

1 igual

1 = otro”

Guillermo Daghero
