El descanso del mundo is a collection of poems by the Argentine poet José Duimovich.
The drawings I created for this project evoke the landscape to which some poems refer. They reflect as well the interrelation between words, poetry and drawing that is present in other projects. Words, quotes from poems, their transformation into drawings or objects, the use of the sound of language, translation between languages ββand languages ββ(from sound to graphic to object, etc.) are all perceptible forms in my work.
The title of the drawing La imprecisa frontera de la noche which José Duimovich has selected as a cover of his book came from the poem Mi hija duerme:
“Aquí contemplo
El efímero momento huyéndose,
Mientras late el mundo
Cantar la maravilla.El atardecer creciendo en su costumbre.
La imprecisa frontera de la noche.
Todo cura bajo esta calma.
Mi hija duerme.”
